The Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge (UK) is currently inviting enquiries from potential applicants for a range of funded postdoctoral programmes, including but not limited to the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships, Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships.
We are looking for individuals with research interests that align with the following themes, where they draw upon the Fitzwilliam's collections, from among them:
- Research drawing upon the Middle Eastern, South and East Asian collections, or that provides new perspectives on British and European art.
- The integration of heritage science and digital methodologies to provide new perspectives on collections, and the cultures and artists they represent.
We also welcome applications which involve working across various University of Cambridge departments, museums, collections and networks, including the Centre for Visual Culture, the Research & Collections Programme and CRASSH. We very much welcome early discussions with researchers who are interested in this opportunity. Please contact our Research Facilitator, Jo Vine (firstname.lastname@example.org), who will put you in touch with a relevant researcher, check your eligibility and can support an application.
Please note that we will expect the applicant to take the leading role in writing the funding application.
