The position is integrated within the team of researcher and technical staff of the Lundbeck Foundation GeoGenetics Center. You will be the anchor person for addressing some of the many unanswered questions about the population history and genomic diversity of prehistoric individuals from East Asia and the population dynamics of the early human populations in Europe. The project will utilize an in-house collection of human remains collected over a period of several years as well as samples that will be excavated during 2021. A key challenge for working with remains from these parts of the world and from prehistoric time periods is the poor preservation of the samples. You will be responsible for the lab work to produce genomic data and for completing the population genetic analyses. Within this overall framework, you will have some freedom to design additional projects in consultation with the advisors.
