The Palaeoproteomics Group of the GLOBE institute is looking for a bioinformatician to support the Carlsberg Semper Ardens grant - ArcHives. The role will include the combined analysis of genomic and proteomic data obtained from honeybee material. Specifically, the approach is applied to a number of beeswax samples, both ancient, historical and modern, and thus explores biological data obtained from these samples, being microbial (viral, eukaryote and prokaryote), bee related or various contamination such as human relating to historical handling of the wax samples. In addition to genomic and proteomic data, other data such as C14 dating, GC-MS and isotope data as well as historical metadata will be integrated with the main molecular findings.
