The Department of Anthropology at the University of Kansas (KU) invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in anthropological genetics. The successful applicant will have expertise in Next-Gen sequence analysis, cross-disciplinary big data analytical methods, and research and teaching interests in human evolutionary genetics and paleogenomics. The ideal candidate will be expected to creatively use genomic data and methods to address questions in one or more of the following areas: human evolution, regional population histories, diversity of human commensal or prey species, migration, archaic admixture, evolution of pathogens and disease, and/or human adaptability. The successful candidate will also be expected to procure external funding for their research program and teach courses and engage in mentoring both undergraduate and graduate students.
