The Institute for Prehistoric and Protohistoric Archaeology at Kiel University (Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel) invites applications for a position as PhD Researcher (Doctoral Candidate) “Archaeological Demography and Data Integration” as part of the ESTER project (Estimating Eurasia’s Prehistoric Population Based on a Large Number of Records). Responsibilities: Compilation, processing, and documentation of archaeological datasets within the ESTER project; Contribution to the development and application of archaeological demographic indicators (proxies); Support in integrating archaeological data into statistical and Bayesian modelling approaches; Conducting exploratory analyses of settlement dynamics, temporal developments, and regional patterns.
