We are seeking to recruit an experienced lab technician (Reference BIOPOLIS 2023-27) to carry out protocols for DNA extraction and preparation of DNA libraries for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) within the project ARIES financed by FCT. The candidate will be responsible for sub-sampling of archaeological specimens and conducting the molecular analyses planned within this project, including: drilling bone/teeth material; DNA extraction, and quantification, amplification (single/multiplex PCR and Real Time PCR), preparation of different library types for Next Generation Sequencing, as well as applying these techniques to samples yielding low input and fragmented DNA (i.e. archaeological specimens).
