In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator team to strategise and coordinate the sampling and analysis of both existing and new multi-material assemblages in the Caribbean. You will lead analytical work in both the Caribbean and the UK, contributing significantly to the project's outputs. Your responsibilities will include identifying appropriate faunal and botanical datasets, coordinating analytical efforts with project collaborators, and advancing novel approaches to diverse bioarchaeological datasets. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in archaeological science, zooarchaeology, biomolecular approaches, or a closely related discipline. You will have a developing international profile with a proven track record of lead-author publications in archaeological science. Expertise in working with archaeozoological datasets is essential, along with experience in developing and advancing methods and theories in the field. While knowledge of Caribbean archaeology and proficiency in Spanish are desirable, they are not mandatory.
