The Department of Anthropology at Texas A&M University invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in archaeology. This is a full-time, 9-month appointment beginning August 1, 2022. We seek a scholar with an active research program in zooarchaeology focusing on prehistoric hunter-gatherer societies. The successful candidate will conduct research in zooarchaeology, mentor PhD and undergraduate students, teach a 2-2 course load including undergraduate and graduate courses in zooarchaeology and anthropology, manage the department’s extensive zooarchaeological collection, and participate in service at the department, college, and university levels.
