The research is part of the project From Relative to Absolute Chronology: Steps for Integrating the Southern Caucasus into Near Eastern Archaeology. The aim is to formalise the new periodisation of the Shida Kartli project (Georgia) from the Chalcolithic to the Iron Age (V-I mill. B.C.) developed in the course of the first year of the SPIN-2 project by its collaborators and to organise its final international workshop (which is foreseen for January 2022), in which the new periodisation will be presented. The methods will follow the lines established on the occasion of earlier works of the research group (Passerini et al. 2016, 2018a, 2018b) through the collaboration of E. Boaretto (Weizmann Institute of Science (Rehovot, Israel). The analysed samples will be organised by means of Bayesian modelling and the obtained dates will be compared with the relevant stratigraphic and ceramic sequences.
